Do you ever wonder why you're not making the progress in life that you thought you would be making by now? There is a time in every life to stop and take an inventory. Is it that time for you? As a new Christian ten years ago I was wide eyed and open to everything God had to offer me. I could not wait to see what He would do in my life and really, it has been amazing. I am not the person that I was and every good change in my life is all God but there are still areas of my life that I struggle in. Let's just be honest... Occasionally I meet a believer who seems to have it all together. But when you ask them, they will always tell you that they have some struggles. Christians aren't perfect people. They are forgiven people. Amen? Does this mean that we should just stop struggling and accept that we're always going to have some area of sin in our life? Of course not. God's Grace is not simply a plan for forgiveness. God's Grace is an amazing gift that we will never
deserve but receive anyways. So what is your struggle? Whatever your struggle is, God's Grace is sufficient. I know you've heard this before but it's true. Let me say it a little differently... He has enough Grace to forgive you as many times as it takes to bring you to the point where you've had enough of the sin to finally make a break with it. I know that you're surprised that you still have this struggle but God isn't. God knew the pattern of your days before He created you. He knew it and He created you anyways. His love for you is so deep, so genuine, so intimate - and it is not lessened by your struggle with sin. It would be so easy to just give up and accept that you will always live a mediocre spiritual life and honestly, God won't love you any less if you do that. But you were created for so much more! That is what drives me to keep working on my own issues. One of my favorite life verses is:
"Being confident of this very thing,
that He who has begun a good work in you will
complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." -Philippians 1:6 I am confident that God is still at work in me. Are you? There is a favorite quote of mine that I have hanging up in my office. I don't know who originally coined the phrase but it is really terrific:
"You don't have to
be more than Are you ready to stop settling for less than God has for you? If your answer is yes, Me Skills may be for you. Sign up right here for our free Me Skills
